Van Gogh The Starry Night Folding Umbrella — van Gogh’s brushwork covers the canopy — the Starry Night design rendered in thick visible strokes, printed on both the outer and inner faces. Printing both faces costs more and is worth it: an umbrella spends most of its working life being looked up into by the person holding it.

The fabric is 100% waterproof polyester, treated so raindrops bead rather than absorb, and the canopy is oversized by 15cm — noticeably more shelter than the umbrella already in your bag. It weighs little enough to forget in a bag and folds down to roughly the length of a paperback. The eight-rib layout distributes strain more evenly than the six-rib frames used on cheaper folding umbrellas.

Eight ribs, fibreglass reinforcement and hardened stretchers give it real wind resistance, and the auto-open button means you can get it up while holding a coffee. It folds compact for travel.
